I worked with Dr. Parker all during her anesthesia residency at the University of Missouri. During that time, she always had a keen eye on patient care, whether it be before, during, or after a procedure. Dr. Parker always put her patients first, never leaving their side (or the side of a technician or veterinary student if things seemed like they might go awry during the procedure). As a technician, I have truly never felt more valued by a doctor for my patient care than with Dr. Parker, & I have never met another doctor more keen on educating their team (be it local blocks, pharmacology, or simply the care needs of a specific patient)! I had to have several procedures performed on my personal pets when Dr. Parker was on the anesthesia team, & she was always my choice to sit their cases.
